Comfy
COMFY is Ukraine’s largest retailer of home appliances and consumer electronics. Founded in 2005, the company now operates over 100 stores in 52 Ukrainian cities and continues to develop an omnichannel retail model, where the comfy.ua online platform and physical stores work as one connected customer ecosystem. The store format includes a wide range of product categories: home appliances, electronics, gadgets, accessories, and products for home and leisure. For this type of retail environment, lighting has to do more than simply illuminate the space. It needs to support clear navigation, maintain visual comfort and help different product categories be presented in a consistent and understandable way.
The project was completed for a COMFY store in Dnipro with a total sales area of 951 m².
AVA TECH worked with the lighting layout provided by the client. Instead of developing a new lighting design from scratch, our team selected the most suitable luminaires according to the existing scheme, store zoning and technical requirements.
All luminaires used in the project have a colour temperature of 4000K and a colour rendering index of CRI 80.
• Select luminaires according to the client’s existing placement scheme.
• Provide even general lighting across the sales area.
• Add accent lighting for product zones and key displays.
• Integrate decorative rectangular lighting structures on the second floor.
• Include emergency lighting as part of the overall lighting system.
• Selected lighting equipment based on the client’s layout and technical requirements.
• Used SPOT Chill track luminaires with 36° and 60° beam angles for accent lighting.
• Applied suspended Komo trunking luminaires in lengths of 1700 mm, 2200 mm, 3100 mm and 3400 mm for the main lighting system.
• Created decorative rectangular lighting elements on the second floor using Komo luminaires.
• Integrated Komo 600 mm luminaires with built-in batteries for emergency lighting.
• Maintained a consistent 4000K light temperature throughout the store to support a unified visual perception of the space.
• A complete lighting solution was implemented for a 951 m² electronics retail space.
• General lighting supports clear navigation and comfortable visibility across the sales floor.
• Accent lighting helps highlight key product areas and direct customer attention.
• Decorative Komo structures became part of the store’s visual concept on the second floor.
• Emergency lighting was integrated into the project without disrupting the overall look of the store.
• The client’s requirements were fulfilled using the existing placement scheme, with AVA TECH selecting suitable luminaires for each functional zone.
