Cosmetics Store Lighting – Professional LED Light for Perfumeries

Hardly any sector sells through the eye as strongly as cosmetics. Glass bottles, glossy packaging, the finest colour nuances – all of it lives on light. The right lighting for your perfumery makes fragrance bottles sparkle, reproduces lipstick and foundation shades accurately and protects valuable stock at the same time. AVA TECH plans and installs LED lighting for perfumeries, cosmetics stores and drugstores throughout Germany – from Berlin and Munich to Hamburg, Cologne, Frankfurt and Stuttgart.

Professional Lighting for Every Perfumery

A cosmetics store depends on two layers of light working together: even general lighting that creates orientation, and targeted accents that lift individual brands and product groups. One proven trick of store planning is to stage the rear of the floor slightly brighter, which draws customers deeper inside and past more products on the way. We always plan your lighting along your range and your brand world, never to a standard formula.

LED Lighting – Efficient and Gentle on Fragrance and Skincare

In a perfumery, expensive stock often stands under light for months, and that is exactly what can harm it. Lamps with high heat and UV output attack fragrance compositions, fade the colours on packaging and affect sensitive skincare products. Modern LED emits virtually no UV radiation and barely any heat, which makes it the gentlest solution for anything that is lit continuously. The commercial effect comes on top: LED cuts electricity use considerably compared with halogen and fluorescent technology, lasts far longer and is easy to dim and control.

Accent & Window Display Lighting

The window decides who walks in. With targeted window display lighting we stage new arrivals, limited editions and gift sets so that they work from the street – by day as much as in the evening. Inside, accent lighting guides the eye to whatever matters right now: the new fragrance line, the brand corner or the promotional area. In the Christmas period especially, when a large share of the annual turnover is earned in a few short weeks, that guidance pays off immediately.

LED Spotlights for Brand & Promotional Areas

Premium cosmetics call for precise light. Our LED spotlights with high colour rendering can be aimed exactly and bring fine details to life – the engraving on a bottle, the shine of a cap, the texture of a package. Through the beam angle we control whether a single premium product is singled out or a whole brand area is carried evenly. When the promotion changes, the spotlight is simply re-aimed.

    Track Systems & Light Lines

Brand areas in a perfumery are constantly moving: a shop-in-shop arrives, a line relocates, seasonal displays rotate. Track systems give you the freedom to reposition spotlights at any time without rewiring the ceiling. Inside shelves and display cases, slim LED strips provide indirect, high-quality light that lifts products from below or behind and gives the presentation depth.

    Ceiling & General Lighting

General lighting carries the space and must above all be free of glare. In a perfumery, light, glass, mirrors and glossy surfaces all meet, and without careful planning that quickly produces distracting reflections. We therefore plan with low glare (guideline: UGR ≤ 19) to the requirements of DIN EN 12464-1 and deliberately keep the base brightness calm, so that the accents on your goods can do their work.

The Right Light for Each Product Group

Not every product group needs the same light. For the individual areas of a perfumery, that means the following in concrete terms:

    Fragrance & bottles

    Make-up & foundation

    Skincare

    Gift sets & promotional areas

    Tester & Mirror Zone

The purchase decision is made at the tester zone. This is where a customer checks whether a shade really suits her – and precisely here lighting most often fails. If the light comes only from above, it casts harsh shadows under the eyes, nose and chin, and the complexion looks dull. We work instead with vertical fixtures beside the mirror: they light the face evenly, avoid harsh shadows and show the shade as it will look later in daylight. That is what prevents disappointment – and returns.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Why is colour rendering so important in a perfumery?

Because your customers have to tell nuances apart. Only with colour rendering of CRI ≥ 90 do lipstick and foundation shades match what will be seen later in daylight. The wrong light leads to the wrong shade – and that comes back.

How should lighting at the tester zone be arranged?

Not from the ceiling alone. Vertical fixtures beside the mirror light the face evenly and avoid harsh shadows under the eyes, nose and chin.

Can light damage fragrance and skincare products?

Yes, if it emits UV radiation and heat. Fragrance compositions can break down and packaging colours fade. Modern LED emits practically no UV and passes barely any heat to the goods.

Which light colour suits fragrance bottles?

Slightly cooler accents suit glass and metallic caps, because they emphasise brilliance. Skincare, by contrast, looks cleanest under neutral light – we combine both deliberately.

Does AVA TECH handle design and installation?

Yes. Planning, supply, installation and commissioning come from a single source – scheduled ahead of your peak season on request, so the floor is ready in time.
