Emergency lighting can be divided into escape route lighting and backup lighting. The latter ensures that ongoing workflows are maintained in the event of a power failure. This is especially true, for example, in retail or office space, and logistics centres. In public buildings, emergency systems according to DIN EN 1838 are regulated by law.
